This company is looking for a Sales & Marketing Manager, focusing on exports of Albanian handicrafts.
The company is currently acting as a bridge between independent handicraft workshops in Albania and the global consumer markets, providing sales, marketing, logistics, and administrative services to these workshops. The company supports the development of women-owned artisan handicraft micro-enterprises, which create high quality handmade products.
Summary:
The Sales & Marketing Manager will work closely with retail customers, suppliers and product designers, to develop products and increase sales in Albania and abroad.
The ideal candidate is someone who understands the domestic and international consumer markets for artisan handicrafts to effectively promote and place merchandise. He/ she must be outgoing, energetic, and enjoy developing relationships in all settings to aggressively grow sales volumes and revenues. Creativity is a must to create an appealing marketing strategy and identify sales opportunities. The candidate must also be organized to process, track and fulfil client orders, with the highest quality standards.
Job Requirements:
● Develop a detailed marketing strategy, focused on reaching new international clients, based on concrete actions and deadlines
● Developing and deploying sales-related marketing materials and collaterals
● Manage supplier relationship, including negotiation for new products and/or with new suppliers
● Identify potential clients, develop strategies to approach and negotiate purchasing contracts
● Manage existent clients relationship and database
● Organize and attend trade shows/ fairs to showcase firm’s products and services
● Work closely with clients to keep abreast of market trends and recommend corresponding internal development as necessary
● Receive and process client orders from start to finish to ensure proper order fulfilment and maximum customer satisfaction
● Conduct export procedures and meet legal requirements
● Create and maintain comprehensive database to track purchase orders, costing, production, sales, invoicing and payments processes
● Handle all logistics including understanding of import/export laws, negotiation of contracts with shipping partners, and product transports within Albania and for export
● Explore opportunities to engage key partners with the business, all along the value chain
● Research and understand marketing trends/ best practices for the industry, both nationally and internationally;
Qualifications and skills:
● Minimum of 3 years experience in sales and/or marketing capacity
● Understands pricing and costing to be able to negotiate contracts effectively and independently on behalf of company and artisan workshops
● Has good understanding of global consumer markets and retail channels for artisan products
● Outgoing, proactive, creative, persuasive, persistent, committed and self-motivated
● Demonstrated strong work ethic, ability to prioritize and work without supervision
● Strong drive to set sales targets and achieve goals
● Excellent presentation and communication skills
● Excellent in English (both written and spoken); other European languages also preferred
● International experience is a must.
