Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineer
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our VDI team and support elements of Teleperformance’s Work At Home server and workstation environment in multiple datacenters both domestically and internationally.
The environment is a 24x7x365 realtime service model, so dedication to the job and attention to detail is required. You may be required to be part of an on-call rotation, and some travel including international may be required in the course of your job.

In this position, you will be part of a team that maintains geographically disperse server and virtualized infrastructures; maintain and improve system performance; secure systems; interact with end users; upgrade systems; constantly update job knowledge; implement updates to internally developed software; document infrastructure; protect organization’s value.
Qualifications:
• 24 x 7 uptime requirements. May be part of an on-call rotation and may need to be available to work after hours and weekends, as required.
• Expert level knowledge of current Citrix products and implementation methodologies, both installing and maintaining
• Expert level knowledge in Virtualization such a Nutanix AHV, XenServer and VMWare
• Experience in software installation and attended scripting, Windows Updates, antivirus, workstation image maintenance, mass deployment such as Ghost, etc.
• Experience in hardware provisioning, installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including blade servers, SANS, etc.
• Strong knowledge of LAN networking, servers, workstations, operating systems, and applications. Demonstrated high level knowledge of VMWare, especially where it relates to large scale Virtual Desktop deployments.
• Strong multi-tasking skills. Ability to work on several concurrent tasks. Ability to work on high-visibility tasks and complete them independently or with a team in a timely fashion with good documentation.
• LAN knowledge, including Ethernet, hubs, switches, TCP/IP, VLANs and network configuration and firewalls.
• Experience with monitoring systems including security services, load monitoring, system resiliency, clustering, etc. Working knowledge of SNMP, WMI, etc.
• Experience with desktop builds, including security hardening and optimization.
• Strong troubleshooting skills on Operating Systems, Active Directory, Client and TPU developed applications
• Scripting skills such as bash, Powershell, PHP, etc.
• Knowledge of networking standards, protocols, ports, subnetting, security, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Experience in system administration, including system maintenance, workstation support, Internet connectivity, security services, load monitoring. Windows administration experience required, Linux experienced valued.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Terminal Services deployment and support.
• Strong experience in Active Directory design, policies, troubleshooting,etc.

Public Cloud and Citrix Cloud experience
Thinclient experience
Perl, PHP, Powershell and Shell scripting
