POSITION Program Manager

EMPLOYMENT Full Time
REPORTING TO COUNTRY DIRECTOR
JOB PROPOSE
Responsible for providing projects strategic leadership and expertise for Islamic Relief Albania Projects by ensuring that planning, designing, appraising, monitoring and evaluation, reporting and review of all projects are done according to agreed strategic direction and meets Islamic Relief Quality Standards. The post holder will also ensure the development and utilization of best practice for technical interventions and will lead, manage and develop staff in order to ensure that the country office is capable of fully achieving its agreed targets. The post holder will network with, and represent Islamic Relief Albania to partners (government authorities, donors, INGOs, local NGOs, etc)
JOB MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Manager is responsible for the preparation, implementation and monitoring of all programme related budgets, programme related assets and for ensuring that all programme related information is organized and accessible.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
•An in-depth understanding of development and relief issues whereby is able to provide guidance to project staff on strategic development of the same.
•Confident and competent in proposal and report writing, managing budgets, and supporting programme development.
•Strong and well-developed analytical skills coupled with experience of writing reports that are usable by different stakeholders.
•Good interpersonal skills including the ability to listen, sensitivity to other peoples’ views and perspectives, and conflict resolution.
•Excellent communication skills, with ability to represent, liaise and negotiate at different levels (national, provincial and local).
•Good organizational and strategic leadership skills.
•The capacity to develop and maintain an understanding of and be sympathetic to the social, cultural and political context of the post.
•Knowledge/familiarity/expertise in programme areas: e.g. Emergency Response, Community Development,…etc.
•An ability to work under pressure with limited support.
•Knowledge/familiarity with country/region.
•Excellent written and spoken English.
•Perfect working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
•Willing to travel to remote locations and in difficult terrains
Experience in projects management 1-3 years.
QUALIFICATIONS •
University study in management, social science, international development, public administration, or a related field. Post graduated in this filed is also appreciated.
•Relevant training in Humanitarian Project Management is also desirable.
