Albchrome SHPK is looking for a Cost Accounting Manager who will work full-time at the Headquarters of the Company based in Tirana, Albania.
Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Finance Department, the Cost Accounts Manager is in charge of cost control methods and procedures of the company. This requires analyzing raw products used, analyzing all variable costs, analyzing overhead costs, analyzing labour and any other types of costs involved with ore and FeCr production.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for compiling product cost statements; Frequently performs a break-even analysis to determine the most efficient quantity production of ore/FeCr at the most efficient cost;
Responsible for evaluating variable and overhead costs;
Responsible for creating a budget and sticking to it, which requires evaluating all costs incurred through production, finding ways to reduce costs, and effectively producing a quality project at the best cost possible;
Evaluates the adequacy of cost accounting systems, policies and procedures, and evaluates other accounting and production systems, policies and procedures in reference to cost accounting.
Reviews results of all cost related studies, reports, etc., and makes presentations to management.
Directs the allocation of overhead costs.
Coordinates the forecasting of inventory levels.
Directs annual physical inventories.
Initiates and/or analyzes cost accounting system requests, identifies alternatives, makes recommendations and implements approved requests.
Interprets and reports rate change impact on inventories.
Evaluates the need for special cost studies and analysis; directs the preparation of the study; and interprets, evaluates and presents the results. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Economic University Degree – preferred in accounting, a Master’s degree (e.g. MBA) would be highly desirable;
Language skills: Proficient in Albanian and very good command of the English language (written and spoken). Knowledge of any other language would be an asset;
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience;
Strong business acumen of accounting. Minimum 2 years of people management / functional leadership responsibility;
Sound experience in project management and project accounting;
Strong technical skills in accounting, management reporting and performance management;
Strong analytical skills, stress resistant;
Self motivator, capable of leading and motivating people.
Good communicator, both oral and written;
