Environmental Officer

Eppc on behalf of its client, a leader in the international building industry, specialized in the building of tunnels or micro tunnels, is currently recruiting an Environmental Officer.

Major responsabilities:

• Developing, implementing and reviewing ESCH and ESIP Procedures provided by Client;
• Responsible for the identification and management of site environmental issues;
• Support the implementation and compliance of the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and ESIP Procedures;
• Responsible for the implementation of ESCH & ESIP procedures on site and shall report any deviations to the Construction Manager;
• In conjunction with the Construction manager, write procedures for site-specific issues;
• Implement the environmental management system on site and provide as necessary toolbox talks on noise and dust emissions control;
• Responsible for all matters relating to the environment, shall ensure all qualified personnel are available and management is aware of issues relating with requirements from project procedures.
• Oversees the overall planning, resources and execution of the works and ensures that construction has been provided with specific management methodologies as per the project ESCH & ESIP procedures requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring that sub-contractors are trained and that they understand their responsibilities with respect to compliance with Project procedures.

Requirements for this position are:

• A minimum of five years of experience engineering;
• Engineering degree;
• Very good English;
• Very good communications skills.
